Darlington Borough Council offers a
24 hours a day, 7 days a week* service for paying:
- Council Tax
- Business Rates
- Housing Rents
- Invoices
- Benefit Overpayments
- Mortgages
These can be paid by
Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Maestro and Solo Debit and Credit Cards on our
payments site where step by step instructions are given, or by our automated telephone service: 01325 389898
Council Tax, Business Rates, Housing Rents, Invoices, Benefit Overpayments and Mortgages can also be paid by cash/cheque/debit card at Post Offices and PayZone outlets using the Girobank Plastic Card system and at the Dolphin Centre at the following times:
Monday to Friday - 5:15 p.m. until 9:00 p.m
Saturday - 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m
Sunday - 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m

Car Parking Fines - you can pay car parking fines using our Penalty Charge Notice system. You also can pay using our payment site, but the Penalty Charge System offers additional benefits, such as the ability to view the parking contravention, and to appeal.
You can pay Council Tax and Business rates by direct debit.
There are many different ways you can pay your Housing Rents; such as by direct debit, standing order or at the Post Office or Dolphin Centre.
* Please be aware that our online payments system is unavailable between 7:40 - 8:20am in order that our systems can be updated.
Important information about our payments system
We have had some concerns from members of the public that they are getting a message that says "there is a problem with this website's security certificate" when trying to make a payment.
This message appears on computers that use older versions of browsers. Despite this message appearing, our payments system is safe, and members of the public can still make an online payment.
