A Self-Development Grant will provide funding to support vocational training or education that may improve an individuals employment or self-employment prospects.
The grant will provide funding towards:
- Training Courses
- Confidence and motivation building activities
- Costs associated with specialist equipment or clothing necessary to undertake work or training
The grant will provide 50% funding up to a maximum of £500. Applicants must be unemployed/jobless and reside within Darlington Borough boundary.
The grants will only be available where the applicant cannot obtain financial assistance from any other source.
