The "How to do Business with the Council" guide is intended as a tool to assist suppliers and contractors who wish to trade with Darlington Borough Council. It give you some basic information that is intended to:

help you understand how the Council tenders for goods and services

explain how you can apply for inclusion on an approved supplier list

explain which departments are responsible for providing what services
The guide also contains details of the rules the Council has to follow when purchasing any product or service. These rules exist as an assurance to potential suppliers that we are being open, fair and transparent.
Appendix 2 of the document lists departmental contacts and details of the goods or services they are responsible for purchasing. This list is by no means comprehensive, and will be amended as required.
