Darlington Borough Council provide an External Funding Service which seeks to bring money into Darlington through the following routes:
- National Government funding
- European funding
- Charitable funding distributors such as the National Lottery
The Council's External Funding Team work to develop projects and funding bids to attract money into Darlington for a wide range of activities from developing communities to improving industrial premises.
The Council work with a full range of partners from individual members of the community to large public sector organisations, to raise funding for projects aimed at improving the quality of life for Darlington residents.
