Business Advice and Support

The Business Engagement Team is on hand to offer support and advice to established businesses and individuals considering a move in to self employment, through the provision of 1 to 1 sessions; mentoring and ‘aftercare’ visits. Through signposting, the team can also provide linkages to other support agencies that may be able to assist your business.

Enterprise Coaching

Enterprise Coaching

The Enterprise Coaching service is to help residents look at their hobbies, skills and aspirations, to see whether or not there might be an opportunity for self employment. Our Enterprise Coach also works with individuals who have a business idea, looking at the viability of the proposed business.

Working within selected communities, our Enterprise Coach is on hand to discuss with individuals any skills and hobbies they might have, whilst exploring whether

or not these could be transferred into self employment. Enterprise Coaching offers support to individuals in the form of skills training and mentoring opportunities through our Business Buddies scheme. In addition, there is access to events and training facilitated through our network of partners.

The Enterprise Coaching Project is part financed by the European Union's ERDF Competitiveness Programme 2007-13, securing ERDF investment through regional development agency One North East.
