Childcare Audit (Sufficiency Assessment)

Darlington Borough Council currently has a statutory duty to ensure there is sufficient childcare/supervised activities for working parents, parents who are training or in education and those parents with a disabled child or young person.

In 2011 the Council carried out a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA) and drafted an accompanying action plan looking at how we could 'plug the childcare gaps' which had been highlighted for children aged up to 14 years or 17 years for those young people with a disability.

If you would like to comment on childcare in the Borough, either complete the Parental Childcare Questionnaire [online form] or e-mail Nicola Davies, Commissioning Projects Officer at nicola.davies@darlington.gov.uk or the People and Families Information Support Service at pfis@darlington.gov.uk.
