Families Information Service
Families Information Service Darlington provides free, impartial information and advice on childcare and early years education for local children and young people to parents, carers, employers, childcare providers and workers.
Their aim is to provide a high quality, friendly and confidential service that provides accurate and impartial information, advice and support.

They will not endorse or recommend individual childcare types or providers. Instead by providing comprehensive information directly, supported by a range of leaflets, they allow you to make an informed decision on the most suitable childcare for you and your child. All calls to the Families Information Service are treated in confidence and they aim to provide any information within 24 hours of the enquiry.
