Central Community Partnership is a friendly group of people who live and work in the Central Ward and care about the local community.
The main aim of the Partnership is to make the community a better place to live and work and to improve the quality of life for all the people who live in Central.
The Partnership have worked on several successful projects, the Pensbury Street Park redevelopment, International Day, international football tournament and Action Week.
Central has a number of organisations involved in the partnership who work alongside residents such as the YMCA, Sure Start, Norcare, DAD (Darlington Association on Disability), the Salvation Army and the Youth Service.
The Partnership are currently looking at developing projects in the Albert hill area with local residents and young people looking at facilities.
We have developed an Action Plan (pdf document) of what we would like to achieve over the next few years.
Getting involved in the Central Community Partnership can help to make a real difference, for more information or to get involved contact Joanne Scott Community Development worker on 01325 388457 or come along to one of our meetings on the 3rd Monday of every month at St Hilda's off Park Gate.
