Whether it is going to school or work, shopping, visiting friends and family or accessing services such as healthcare, the availability of transport has an important role to play in all our lives.
However you choose to travel – walk, cycle, motorcycle, on the bus, by taxi or train, in a van, car or lorry – it is important that the journey is safe, reliable, affordable and pleasant.
The transport network should also support Darlington’s economy, help to improve the health and quality of life for all citizens and contribute to reducing the impact of travel on the environment. Darlington Council has held a number of workshops to develop
possible options to include in the next Local Transport Plan.
So now it’s your turn. If you would like to express your opinion, add
your ideas or raise any concerns, come to one of the two Talking
Together events.
There is no formal agenda, you can just turn up and spend as little or as long as you wish at the events.
There is no need to book. Information on transport and travel will be available and council officers will be on hand to answer any questions.
Date and time: Friday 16 July 2pm - 7pm and Saturday 17 July 10am - 12noon
Location: Central Hall, Dolphin Centre, Darlington
Programme: Drop in at any time and add your comments, thoughts and ideas to the long list of possible options.
