  • How do I get to the theatre from Darlington town centre?
    Darlington Civic Theatre is in easy walking distance from the town centre. To view a map of the town centre, visit our how to find us page.

  • Is there parking at Darlington Civic Theatre?
    The nearest car park is opposite the Health Centre in Park Place. From Parkgate, turn right immediately opposite the Civic Theatre. This car park is FREE after 6pm and is covered by the Town Centre CCTV cameras.

  • Can you book tickets online?
    Yes – visit our online booking page to register online and book tickets – it only takes a few minutes.

  • How can you book tickets?
    You can book tickets face to face at one of our Box Offices, on the phone, online or at other venues. Please visit our how to book page for full details.

  • Who is entitled to concessionary tickets?
    We offer concessionary tickets on selected productions and performances for Senior Citizens, JSA holders, students, LiveDarlington holders and group bookings. To find out more about the LiveDarlington scheme, visit the LiveDarlington page.

  • Do you charge a booking fee?
    We do not charge a booking fee if you book in person or by phone. However, there is a booking fee of 50p when you book online.

  • Can I buy tickets for Darlington Civic Theatre at other venues?
    Yes. We have several tickets agents in local libraries, tourist information centres and other venues. For a full list please visit the how to book page.

  • If I need to cancel my tickets can I get a refund?
    Once purchased, theatre tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded.

  • Is Darlington Civic Theatre accessible?
    There is level access from Borough Road into the stalls and the Conservatory Bar. There are double yellow lines at this entrance, but it is usually possible to stop and set down passengers. For further details on accessibility in the theatre please visit the Civic Theatre access page.

  • Are refreshments available?
    Yes. Signor Pepi’s Bar and Conservatory Bar are open one hour before performances for pre-show drinks. For your convenience we offer a pre-order system for interval drinks from both bars. Before the performance and during the interval there is also a wide variety of ice cream and confectionary available from the kiosks. There is no food available.

  • What provisions are there for the hearing or sight impaired?
    There is an infra-red system in the auditorium and an audio loop for people with hearing aids. Head sets are available and selected production programmes are available in Braille.   • What are the seating capacities?
    The Theatre can accommodate 893 patrons.

  • What is the policy on late seating?
    The Theatre has a strict policy of no late seating. Latecomers may be asked to remain in the foyer until the ushers can seat them during the first convenient pause in the production.

  • Where can I find information about rental space?
    The Theatre has two bars, Signor Pepi's Bar and the Conservatory Bar (with disabled access) which are available for hire for functions. In addition there is a small function room available.     Yes. Theatre gift tokens are available from all our Box Offices.

    There is a small car park available including disabled parking spaces, also there is on street parking (restrictions apply).

    The lounge serves food from 10.00am until 2.30pm Monday – Saturday, and the bar is open 10.00am – 11.00pm Monday – Saturday. For more information please visit our food and drink page.

    The Theatre can has 187 seats, and 340 seats if the wings are open. The Studio has 100 seats.
