Technical requirements for productions at the Civic Theatre and the Arts Centre are serviced by a team of 7 full time staff and up to 30 casual staff.

We also look after various other events promoted or hosted by Darlington Borough Council and partners at many venues in and around the town and are responsible for looking after several exhibition spaces.

Our involvement ranges from providing ‘humpers’ to designing, specifying, installing and operating temporary and permanent installations while undertaking the day to day work of ensuring that shows in our spaces are presented to the highest standard possible.

Multi-space facility- the Arts Theatre and the Studio host most of our performance art, the East Hall and Garden Bar are mostly used for musical events (e.g. R 'n' B, folk, jazz)
