ArtsSpark work experience

The Civic Theatre and Arts Centre have a number of work experience placements available each year to young people who have a passion for the Arts, and want to gain experience of working in a busy theatre and arts centre.

 

Darlington Civic Theatre and Arts Centre are not producing theatres; therefore we do not produce our own plays. This means that we do not have a creative company of actors, performers, and directors rehearsing for shows at our venues, and we do not design and make any sets. This means that creative activity during our work experience placements is limited.

 

However, work experience candidates can expect to get involved in all aspects of a busy theatre and arts centre, such as working in the marketing department, helping with the administration for the theatre, and helping with arts classes for children and young people such as ArtsSpark Youth Theatre and Dance.

 

To apply for work experience at Darlington Civic Theatre and Arts Centre, please write a letter expressing why you would like to do work experience here and what your interests are. All letters should be posted to:
