Arts development is concerned with creating an environment in which the arts can thrive. Based within Darlington Arts Centre, The Arts Development Team is part of Darlington Borough Council’s Cultural Service. The team strives to create and sustain artistic engagement throughout the borough of Darlington. The projects and activities undertaken are diverse but unified by a belief that the arts make a positive and long-lasting difference to people’s lives

The arts development supports the following organisations and community initiatives:
