Hatha yoga is generally interpreted as the yoga of physical action and is practiced in most western yoga classes. Hatha yoga classes usually consist of the following elements: relaxation, limbering postures, asanas, some breath awareness, some meditation and some theory and philosophy.
Tutor Noreen Iceton hopes students will gain an increased sense of self awareness and a greater relationship between body and mind.
At the very least, you’ll leave the class feeling more relaxed all round. Noreen is a British Wheel of Yoga trained teacher of vast experience. An interest in nutrition and vegetarianism led her to discover an article on yoga in a health magazine over thirty years ago. Noreen’s classes are friendly and relaxed, as she says: “I take my class teaching seriously but we always have time for a bit of fun. Each class is unique in itself, as is each teacher. We bring life experience to the classes as well as all the experience of the many styles and types of yoga we have practiced over time.”
