Resurgence is a large-scale geometric sculpture made from mild and stainless steel featuring two diagonal and two horizontal sheets supported by four vertical sections painted in blue. It was commissioned by Darlington Lions Club and celebrates Darlington’s recovery after the closure of its railway industries. The artwork measures 18ft in height and weights two-and- a half-tonnes, and it also pays reference to Darlington’s engineering past and refers to the vertical lines of the Town Hall building.
