The new soft play development opened on Saturday 16th December 2006 and has revolutionised children’s activities at the Dolphin Centre.  With an ‘Under the Sea’ theme, youngsters can enjoy an aquatic adventure with Fin the Dolphin, as he sets out on a quest to find the Mermaid Queen’s bracelet, which has been stolen by Slick the Shark and his dopey sidekick MC.

Arguably the leading play facility in the area, the new Soft Play area is split into four areas and spread over several levels, offering activity for children up to the age of 8.  Each of the new sections – main adventure play; toddlers soft play and structure; penalty shoot-out and specialist sensory and chill-out – has a variety of activities suitable for children of all ages.  The new area also includes a buggy park and purpose built changing facilities. 

There is an excellent seating and refreshment area for parents to watch their children play and enjoy themselves in the wonderful ‘Under the Sea’ playground.  The play area is open all week and supervised by qualified nursery staff.

Sensory room

Our sensory room allows visitors to experience different light, sound and tactile sensations.  Our aim is to make this room available for use by all visitors of all ages.  Sensory rooms have been shown to enhance sensory development, improve hand/eye coordination, promote language development and encourage relaxation.

Our room is equipped with:
Fibre-optic lights; Interactive bubble tube; Projector; Calming music and Hoist.

The room is used as a crèche Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 11.30am, but can be hired out for private use outside of these times.
