Phase Three
The final stage sees the new turf laid, which should be completed by the end of the month. A setlling in period will follow before it can be used. The track should be available for public use by the beginning of December.
Phase Two
Phase one of the work involved drainage work being carried out and the ground disturbed ready to house top quality turf. Phase 2 has seen the soil put down ready for the turf to be laid. On completion the field will be used for athletics provision and football.
Whilst this work is being carried the athletics track is closed to members of the public, with the exception of Darlington Harriers on a Tuesday and Thursday night. We are hoping that this work will be completed by January 2009, but this is dependent on the weather
