Volunteers play a massive role in all walks of life including sport and physical activity. Without volunteers activities and events delivered by our Sports Development Team would not happen as their hard work and efforts are so important.
Volunteers Network
In Darlington we have a volunteers network and the idea behind this project is to increase the number of volunteers assisting with the delivery of activities in the community and also to help develop the skills of volunteers and help them access coaching courses.
There are a few simple steps to follow to join our volunteers network;
- Download a voluntary coaching hours log [pdf document]
- Complete a minimum of TEN hours voluntary work at a club, school, Sports Development activity etc.
- Contact Sports Development to arrange a meeting where you will receive a 'Volunteer Darlington' t-shirt.
- Identify coaching courses that you are interested in attending.
- Sports Development will cover the cost of this course and complete a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with you.
If you need assistance finding a club, school or Sports Development activity visit our club page or contact us.
