Q.  What are the opening times for the course?
A.  The course is typically open from 6.00am-8.00pm depending on the time of year and light conditions.

 

Q.  What telephone numbers do I need to ring?
A.  To book your golf, telephone the professional shop on (01325) 461002 or to reserve a table in the clubhouse or if you have any catering enquiries telephone (01325) 353073.

 

Q.  How much is a round of golf?
A.  For adults during the week green fees are £14.50 per round of golf and £16.50 at weekends.  Juniors are £10.90 weekdays and £12.40 at weekends. You can become a full member and have unlimited golf for the year for £35 per month (minimum 12 months) or for a one off payment of £410.

 

Q.  What are the opening times for the driving range?
A.  The 15 bay floodlit driving range opens 7 days a week weather permitting 7.30am-8.00pm Monday to Friday and 7.00am-6.30pm on weekends, tokens can be bought at the professional shop.

 

Q.  What is the dress code for the course?
A.  The dress code is in-line with English Golf Union recommendations. The following items may not be worn; tracksuits, jogging bottoms, football shirts, football or sports shorts (tailored shorts are permitted), singlet or vest.

 

Q.  Is there a dress code for the clubhouse?
A.  There is no formal dress code for the clubhouse, and visitors are free to wear casual clothes including trainers, jeans and t-shirts.

 

Q.  Can I turn up and play anytime?
A.  The course is often busy so it’s best to ring (01325) 461002 and book a tee time to avoid disappointment.  You can book up to 7 days in advance.

 

Q.  How can I pay?
A.  The professional shop accepts cash and all major credit/debit cards although there is no cash back facility available.

 

Q.  Can I hire golf shoes and golf clubs?
A.  There is no need to hire shoes as training shoes can be worn.  A half set of clubs can be hired for £5 and a full set for full £7.50. 

 

Q.  How can I become a member?
A.  The best way to become a member is to take out an annual membership where your green fees are paid in full for the year or monthly, and you can play as many times as you like at no extra cost and there is no joining fee to pay. You simply need to complete a members’ application form from the professional shop and choose your payment option.  Then it’s off to the first tee for your first round….

 

Q.  Can I get a golf handicap at Stressholme?
A.  Yes, once you have become a member you need to hand in 3 scorecards signed by a member, one of which needs to be an entry from one of Stressholme’s many competition events. Q.  How do I know if the course is open due to bad weather?
A.  The club shop opens at 8.00am so give them a ring on (01325) 461002. If you need to know before then, a recorded message can be listened to after the course inspection at 7.00am, by calling (01325) 356089.

 

Q.  Can I buy food and drink in the clubhouse?
A.  The bar and restaurant has a great menu catering for light snacks, main meals, confectionary and provides a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and beverages.
