Terms of Reference
To undertake the functions relating to Town and Country Planning and Development Control (as set out in Part A, Schedule 1 of the Local Authorities (Functions and Responsibilities) (England) Regulations 2000 (No. 2853), as amended; other than those delegated to the Assistant Chief Executive (Regeneration) in accordance with the Officers Scheme of Delegation.

Membership
The Planning Applications Committee consists of 13 Members of the Council and is politically balanced to include nine Labour, three Conservatives and one Liberal Democrat Members. Details of the Membership is shown in the table below :-
Meetings of Planning Applications Committee are held four-weekly and are open to all members of the public to attend, except where an item is of a confidential nature. The Table below contains a list of Committee dates for the Municipal Year 2011/12.
