If you have previously registered for a postal vote in Darlington you will have received a form from, asking for a signature and date of birth. This is a new requirement of the Electoral Administration Act. The form needs to be filled in and returned straight away to ensure that you retain your right to vote by post. This process is being co-ordinated by Electoral Reform Services (ERS) on behalf of the Council.
In addition to this, a further 8,000 residents, who requested an application to vote by post during the Electoral Registration period, will also have been forwarded an application form. If those residents still require postal votes, they need to complete the forms and send them to the above address.
If you have any enquiries or want to check if you already have a postal vote contact the Elections Office.
