Darlington Borough Council is performing well and providing excellent value for money, according to a report published on Tuesday 18th November by the Audit Commission. A separate report from Ofsted, published at the same time, rates services for children and young people in the borough as ‘good’.
The two reports follow inspections carried out side-by-side earlier this year. The Audit Commission’s corporate assessment inspection looks at all aspects of the Council’s work, whilst Ofsted’s Joint Area Review (JAR) examines the effectiveness of services in promoting the well-being of children and younger people.
