About This Councillor

I was first elected to the Council in 1976 and served for four years.  I was then re-elected on 5th May 2003 and I am currently Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group.

I am appointed to the following Committes:

• Planning Applications Committee
• Resources Scrutiny Committee
• Human Resources Committee 
• Audit Committee
• Darlington Planning Forum

Outwith Council business I also hold the following positions:

• Magistrate at Teesside Adult Court (January 2004)
• Chairman of Age Concern Darlington (November 2001)
• Chairman of South Durham Conservatives (April 2005)
• Chairman of Darlington Voluntary Service (January 2007)
