About This Councillor
I was elected to the Council on 9th May 1983 and was Mayor of Darlington during the Municipal Year 2002/03.

In my role as Ward Councillor, I represent the rural area as a Board Member of the Darlington Partnership and I am Chair of Middleton St. George Parish Council, Vice-Chair of Middleton St. George Partnership, Editor of the Community Partnership Middleton Messenger and Vice-Chair of Middleton St. George Community Centre.
I am a Parish Councillor (and Chairman) of the Middleton St George Parish Council and represent the Darlington Association of Parish Councillors on the Darlington Partnership.
I continue with my role as an active Ward Councillor for the Middleton St George Ward of Darlington, undertaking regular ward surgeries dealing with all issues raised by residents within the Ward. I occasionally attend meetings of the Low Dinsdale Parish Council in my capacity as Ward Councillor.

Other Information (surgery dates, links, miscellaneous)
Following a very busy 'Talking Together' session held in St. Georges School many residents joined us to make strong representation to the Highways Section about the changes made to the road system around the school, Neasham Road and The Square. After several meetings we now have a draft plan of the changes proposed which will be discussed at a consultation meeting scheduled to be held on Saturday, 11th July, 2009 from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon at Middleton St. George Primary School.

Residents can drop in at any time to discuss these issues. There will be a separate consultation pack sent to all residents which offers a summary of the main review document. This will be sent out a week in advance of the meeting.
