About This Councillor

I was first elected to the Council on 10th May 1976, although I had a break in service from 1979 to 1983.  I was Mayor of Darlington in the Municipal Year 2000/01.

I am appointed to the following Committees:

• Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee as Vice-Chair
• Economy and Environment Scrutiny Committee
• LA Governors Appointments Committee
• Darlington Transport Forum
• Town Centre Forum

I also represent the Council on a number of outside bodies, namely:

• Corporation Board of the Darlington College of Technology 
• Darlington Council for Voluntary Service
