About This Councillor

I was elected to the Council on 10th May 1976 and was Mayor of Darlington in1988/89.  I was awarded an O.B.E. in 1989.

I am appointed to the following Committees:

• Health and Well Being Scrutiny Committee
• Tees Valley Joint Health Scrutiny Committee
• Town Centre Board
• Corporate Parenting Panel
• Human Resources Committee

I also represent the Council on a number of ouside bodies, namely:

• The North East Assembly (appointed by NEA as minority Group representative)
• Darlington Partnership Board
• Family Help Organisation
• Local Government Association
• Association of North East Councils (representing the five Tees Valley Authorities)
