About This Councillor

I was elected to the Council on 8th May 1972, although I had a break in service from 1979 to 1995.

I was Mayor of Darlington in 2005/2006 and Mayoress in 1995/1996

I am appointed to the following Committees:

• Economy and Environment Scrutiny Committee as Chair
• Planning Applications Committee
• Town Centre Forum
• Darlington Environmental Forum
• Darlington Planning Forum
• Darlington Transport Forum
• Monitoring and Co-ordination Group

I also represent the Council on a number of outside bodies, namely:

• Arts Council England North East
• Local Access Forum
• Financial Incentives Panel
