No Smoking - Full Stop!

As of Monday 27 June 2005 all Darlington Borough Council Leisure and Arts venues became completely smoke free.
 
Darlington Borough Council recognises its duty to protect the health, safety and welfare of its customers and employees.

Darlington Borough Council is therefore committed to providing a smoke free environment and has introduced a No Smoking Policy throughout all of its Leisure and Arts venues.

Our smoke free venues include: Stressholme Golf Centre, Eastbourne Sports Complex , The Dolphin Centre, Darlington Civic Theatre and Arts Centre.

Stop Smoking Service

Help is available from the free local NHS Stop Smoking Service in Darlington. You can contact them yourself, or be given a referral via your GP or hospital.

There is the national NHS Smoking Helpline which you can call on:  0800 169 0169 and speak to a specialist adviser. Lines are open everyday from 7am to 11pm.
