New Regulations require each Local Authority to carry out a review of polling districts and polling places on a four yearly cycle. Any elector who resided within the Darlington and Sedgefield Parliamentary Constituencies was entitled to make comments regarding the convenience of voting at polling stations currently used for elections and also on proposals for possible alternative venues (when published).
In accordance with the timetable set by the Council the representations received from the members of the public (pdf document) were published by 8th October, 2007. The final date for comments on the Representations from the Acting Returning Officers for both the Darlington and Sedgefield Constituencies, was 29th October, 2007.
