Central Lending services include a full range of books for adults and children, plus music CDs and spoken word tapes.
Novels are arranged aplhabetically, although some types may be shelved separately. Non-fiction books are arranged by subject. There are collections of large print books and spoken word tapes for the visually impaired.
If you have difficulty finding a particular book or subject, please ask our skilled staff, who will be happy to assist, or you can use Viewpoint to help you.
You can use Viewpoint computers in the library to look at the catalogue of books and audio materials, reserve and renew your books, look at your borrower record, and look at the Community Information files of local services. Alternatively, you can access these features online.

If the book you want is not immediately available it may be reserved for a small fee. We will let you know when you can collect it.
When books are not in stock we will try to borrow them for you through the national library inter-lending network. You will have to pay a higher reservation charge for these books.
