With the main national broadsheet newspapers (pdf document) taken as well as a wide range of magazines (pdf document) the Reference Library is where you can keep up to date with the world. 

Many books are re-published each year so they stay up to date and these annuals cover all sorts of topics.  One subsection of these is the business and trade directories (pdf document ) which give addresses and information for companies.  Allayed to these is a full set of telephone directories and yellow pages for the United Kingdom.  In addition for addresses and financial information on companies there is the Fame on-line database.  There is also a separate section of books about running a business, check out the online Library catalogue.

As the holder of a Community Legal Service Quality Mark for providing legal information a range of resources are held at the general public level including books, free leaflets, etc.  For more in depth information Halsbury's Laws Direct  is a subscription online database covering English law.  Also details are held of national and local advice agencies and practices.  Information is also available on the local and national Community Legal Services websites.
