Darlington Borough Council is proud of the performance of its schools. At the moment, the Office for Standards In Education tells us that we have more good and very good schools than most other local authorities. This performance reflects a strong partnership between the education departments and all of those colleagues who work in our schools.
Many of our schools have gained outside awards that demonstrate excellence outside their successes in national tests and examinations. Darlington’s learners represent their schools in a breadth of sporting, cultural and musical activities both within Darlington and across the north-east. Some of our learners have even gone on to represent their country in their chosen areas.
