2006 Key Stage 1 Analysis
At Key Stage 1, a Level of 2B or higher is the National standard that pupils are expected to achieve in Reading, Writing and Mathematics. The National standard expected to be achieved in Speaking & Listening, and Science at Key Stage 1, is a Level 2 or higher. Higher ability pupils are expected to achieve a Key Stage 1 Level of 3.
2006 Key Stage 2 Analysis
At Key Stage 2, the National standard that pupils are expected to achieve is a Level 4 or higher. Higher ability pupils are expected to achieve a Key Stage 2 Level of 5.
2006 Key Stage 3 Analysis
At Key Stage 3, the National standard that pupils are expected to achieve is a Level 5 or higher. Higher ability pupils are expected to achieve a Key Stage 3 Level of 6 or higher.
2006 Key Stage 4 (GCSE) Analysis
At Key Stage 4 (GCSE), the National standard that pupils are expected to achieve is five or more GCSE or equivalent grades at A* to C. There is now a National push for pupils to achieve five or more GCSE or equivalent grades at A* to C, with a grade of A* to C achieved in both English and mathematics.
