Hearing Impairment

Aims of the service:

 

The primary aim of the Sensory Support Service is to provide appropriate and effective educational support to children and young persons with a hearing impairment from pre school onwards, according to each individual's identified needs.

 

The Sensory Support Service aims to work in collaboration with teachers, support staff and all other relevant agencies to ensure that children and young persons with a hearing impairment have full access to a broad and balanced curriculum.

 

The Sensory Support Service aims to work in partnership with parents and carers so they can play an active role in their child's development.

 

The Sensory Support Service aims to ensure that the audiological requirements of the child/young person are met.
