The Authority has a responsibility to ensure that pupil's needs are identified, assessed and met.
The Service maintains systems to ensure that:
- Monitor and review Special Educational Needs policies and procedures
- Operate systems that ensure that individual pupil needs are met
- Keep pattern of Special Educational Needs provision under review.
- Manage and monitor Special Educational Needs budgets
- Operate multi-agency decision making panels
- Work with Health, Social Services and other agencies
- Co-ordinate assessments for pupils with complex needs think that my child may have Special Educational Needs.
