Purpose of the service
To work strategically with schools to ensure systems are developed which support and offer advice to schools, and develop an Authority wide response to child protection.
Functions of the service
- Liason with appropriate staff in schools and other agencies.
- Monitoring and analysis of data.
- Working with schools to offer advice which supports young people.
- Facilitating child protection training.
All schools have a duty to share any concerns relating to safeguarding issues.
