Training and resources to promote multicultural education and tackle racism in schools
The assessment , monitoring and recording of progress for children from traveller families and pupils with English as an Additional Language, including new arrivals.
Support and advice on monitoring achievement by ethnicity and gender and strategies to raise achievement.
A resource centre to support schools in developing a multicultural curriculum.
Provision of professional development for staff on the following areas:
Race equality and tackling racial harassment.
Responding to the recommendations for Education following the Inquiry into the Death of Stephen Lawrence.
English as an additional language, bilingualism and linguistic diversity.
Developing a multicultural curriculum to reflect our diverse cultural needs.
