Allotment Sites

Darlington Borough Council owns 15 allotment sites within the borough, which together contain a total of over 800 individual allotment plots.  The locations of the sites within the town are shown on the following map:

There are also sites within the villages of Heighington, Hurworth, Middleton St George, Neasham and Sadberge.

Renting an Allotment

If you would like to rent an allotment in the Darlington area please telephone Patricia Baston on (01325) 388052, letting her know which site you are interested in.  The rent is £45.20 per annum with 50% reduction for unemployed persons, or persons on benefit.

Independently Managed Sites

Allotment sites within the villages are each managed by their respective Parish Councils.  Please use the appropriate Parish Council contacts for these.

Six of the town's sites are now under self-management and these need to be contacted directly to the Secretary of the sites, as follows:

Some privately-owned (i.e. non-Council) allotments may also be available.
