South Park has something for everyone
Listen to bands playing in the free outdoor concerts, have a chat with our parrots in the aviary, or simply enjoy the fabulous flower beds.
For younger visitors there is a purpose built play area, multi use games area, skate bowl, and activities during the school holidays.
South Park has a full programme of events throughout the year including, Race for Life, The Family Fun Day and Bands in the Park. Information about South Park events, as well as other events happening in Darlington can be found on our events page.
We also have a full environmental Education programme for Early Years groups and Key Stages One and Two.

How to find us
Road
South Park is on Grange Road or the A167 as you travel right towards the town centre from the Blackwell Grange roundabout.
Take the second right turn on to Parkside and South Park is clearly signed.
Train
It is easy to get to South Park form Darlington Train Station, walk from the station, down Parkgate towards the town centre and follow the clear signs form the Market Place.

Buses

Opening Times
We are open 24 hours a day all year round with staff based in the Clock Tower Lodge from 9am -5pm Monday to Friday.
Toilets including accessible toilets are open from 7am -5pm.
The Café operates seasonal hours, 11am – 5pm in the summer. Please call 01325 383099 for more information.
Parking
Due to limited car parking around South Park it is advisable to use the Town Centre car parks and access the park by foot through Victoria Embankment.
