Applications made under section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
Under section 53B of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (introduced by paragraph 2 of Schedule 5 to the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000) it is a requirement that surveying authorities maintain a register of DMMO applications.
Registers must be available at the principal office of the surveying authority where it can be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours, and an electronic version must be available for inspection by the public on a website maintained by the authority.
Paper copies of the register are available at: The Beehive and Town Hall Reception.
Copies of the register may be made however a charge may be applied for this service.
Entries in the register shall be made by:
a) 28 days from the date the application is received by the authority
b) the relevant date of 31st December 2005.
The register shall be updated as soon as is reasonably practicable.
