Tees Valley Food Hygiene Award

Scores and ratings for all participating businesses can be viewed on the Scores on the Doors website [external link]
Food businesses are given a rating ranging from 0 stars (major improvement required) to 5 stars (excellent) and are issued with a certificate to display. Businesses awarded three stars are in addition issued with window stickers to display at the entrance. You can view a copy of a five star sticker [pdf document].
The number of stars awarded depends upon hygiene standards at the time of the inspection, including:
- cleanliness
- structural condition
- compliance with regulations
