Grass Cutting, Floral Displays, Weeding, Hedge and Shrub Maintenance
A full horticultural service is provided by the Street Scene Team.
Municipal grass cutting using a variety of machinery including tractor/gangs for large open spaces, ride on mowers, hand mowers, strimmers and blowers is carried out across the Borough on an average 14 day turnaround, weather dependent between mid March to early November. Shrub maintenance and hedges are cut twice per year; August they are cut to lines and as part of the winter programme a full prune is carried out. All floral displays in the town centre, on roundabouts, parks; planters are planted in June and October.
