Darlington Borough Council is intending to carry out site investigation works on four former landfill sites over the next year in accordance with the Council’s Contaminated Land Inspection Strategy. The works are subject to the Council’s Cabinet's approval and the release of funding on 9 September 2008. The sites which are to be investigated are: -
All residents/ landowners/ occupiers whose property/ business/ land is in the investigation area have been notified in writing and will be kept fully informed throughout. Darlington Borough Council are currently working with Parsons Brinckerhoff, a specialist environmental consultant, to plan the investigation work.
