Dog fouling
Dog owners are asked to be extra vigilant to ensure their pets do not foul when they are out of view. Anyone who fails to pick up after their dog can be fined £75 or face court action.
Our ‘Dish the Dirt’ campaign asks residents and responsible dog owners to call the Council with information that can help catch those who allow their animals to foul. Anyone with information can email streetscene@darlington.gov.uk - you do not have to tell us your name, and we will keep your information anonymous.
Stray dogs also contribute to the problem of fouling and owners are reminded that their pets must wear a collar and an identity tag whilst out in public. This will ensure that dogs which do stray can be reunited quickly with their owners
If you wish to report a footpath or area of dog fouling please let us know on streetscene@darlington.gov.uk
