Recycling Collections

Please put your refuse and recycling out by 7:30am on the morning of collection. Anyone putting out refuse on the wrong day could face a fine.

Refuse and recycling collections days temporarily change for most residents during bank holidays. The days shown below are the standard collection days. Please visit the Bank Holiday Collection Dates page during public holidays for further information. 

All properties in Darlington have been issued with a free, green plastic recycling bin and blue bag in which to store household refuse for recycling. You can recycle:

  • Glass in your Green Box
  • Paper and Card in your Blue Bag
  • Everything else in your Black Sack

Refuse collections are made weekly and recycling collections are made fortnightly. To find out when your refuse and recycling is due to be picked up please enter your postcode in the box below.
