Darlington Borough Council’s website is the most effective means of accessing all the information the Council makes available to you. There are a number of ways which you can search for information.
A-Z of Council Services
The A-Z directory lists key council services, departments, sections and teams. This search function can be found by going to the A-Z directory page and is also available on the home page of the website within the grey bar at the top of the page.
The A-Z of services also provides you with a guide to the information outlined in the Council’s Publication Scheme.
Key Word Search
You can search the website by using a Key Word Search. This method allows you to enter one or more words that relate to what you are looking for.
Using the Sitemap
The sitemap provides you with a view of the website based on different themes such as business, living and education. This method of searching is particularly useful if you are unsure which department or section of the council can provide you with the information that you require.
If you encounter difficulties in using any of the search tools, or if you believe that some important links are missing please let us know via our email address enquiries@darlington.gov.uk.
If you have searched the website and are unable to find the specific information you need, it could be that this information is not routinely published by the Council. If this is the case, then you are entitled to make an individual request for this information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
