Searching the Website
Darlington Borough Council’s website is the most effective means of accessing all the information the Council makes available to you. There are a number of ways which you can search for information.
A-Z of Council Services
The A-Z directory lists key council services, and departments. This search function can be found by going to the A-Z directory page and is also available on the home page of the website.
We are currently working on improving our A-Z, including not only more links to pages on this website, but also external websites which will provide you with useful information - such as government websites and charitable organisations.
The A-Z of services also provides you with a guide to the information outlined in the Council’s Publication Scheme.
Key Word Search
You can search the website by using a Key Word Search. This method allows you to enter one or more words that relate to what you are looking for.

Using the Sitemap
The sitemap provides you with a view of the website based on different themes such as business, living and environment. This method of searching is particularly useful if you are unsure which department or section of the council can provide you with the information that you require.
