More information about Roadworks going on in Darlington

[09/05/12] North Road Bus Priority Scheme works started on 16th January 2012 and is expected to take nine months, during which time there may be disruption to traffic and bus services. Advance warning of disruption will be provided where possible.

[10/05/11] A section of Darlington’s Park Place West car park will be closed and fenced off from May 2011 for up to 12 months. A significant proportion of the car park is still available to the public and a pedestrian route through to the Ring Road will be maintained. Alternative parking can be found in the Park Place East car park.

Gritted roads

A list of gritted roads and the location of grit bins is available in the gritting section of the website.

We are unable to grit paths, apart from those in the Town Centre when resources become available. There are grit bins available in Darlington if you need to grit paths yourself.

The government has written a Snow Code [external link] providing advice and guidance on clearing snow from pavements.
