Refuse and recycling collection days

Sign in to your My Darlington+ account Preview My Darlington+ without signing in

If you enter your postcode when you are on My Darlington+ (either in the box on the far left hand side of the page, or when you sign up to My Darlington+) you can find out when your recycling and refuse collection days are.

Refuse and recycling collections temporarily change for most residents during bank holidays. If your collections are due to change, a message will appear:

Email alerts

If you have a My Darlington+ account, you can sign up to emails to be told when your refuse and recycling collection will change because of bank holidays, as well as a reminder of when your refuse and recycling is going to be collected.

To set this up, select click here to edit refuse/recycling collection notifications

You can set up an email to remind you when your refuse or recycling collection will change, and what it will change to, as well as a general alert for when it is your recycling week.

To set these up - click on one of the boxes and you will be taken to a page where you can decide how far in advance you want to be emailed and at what time (the email will be sent to the address you signed up with). Click subscribe when you are done and you will be taken back to the notification page.

To unsubscribe - click on the box and when you are taken to the next page click unsubscribe.

What to do if your recycling/refuse information isn't showing up

Firstly, check to make sure you have entered a postcode.

If this doesn't work, you may have entered a postcode for an area which doesn't have domestic refuse/recycling collections (for example, an industrial estate)
