We are seeking to appoint an experienced administration assistant to work in The Behaviour Support Service and the new Turnaround Provision based at Redhall Primary School
The post holder will provide daily administrative support to the Service and Turnaround Provision and offer support to other co-located professionals from the Children’s Services Department. You will need to have excellent communication skills, ICT expertise, excellent organisational skills and be able to work without close supervision.

The Head of Steam Museum is located on the 1825 route of the Stockton and Darlington Railway, the world’s first steam-worked public railway. The Museum collection centres on the Stockton and Darlington Railway and the railway industry of Darlington. Exhibits include Stephenson’s Locomotion No 1 – the oldest surviving steam engine in the world and the first steam train to carry fare-paying passengers.
You will have responsibility for the care, management, development and use of the Museum’s collections following our 1.7 million pound refurbishment. You will also be responsible for the Ken Hoole Study Centre, assisting family and railway historians. Approximately three years museum work experience is essential.

You should be able to carry out high quality community care assessments for adults with a physical and sensory impairment and their carers. In addition, long term care management of service users with complex needs will be required.
You will be responsible for promoting the independence of adults with a physical and sensory impairment in line with social model linking and promoting their access to leisure, education and employment opportunities. Cross-agency partnership working and experience in adult protection is an essential part of the role.
You should hold a professional qualification in Health/Social care, i.e. Dip.SW, RGN, RMN, CSS, CQSW or equivalent. Knowledge and experience of working in a Health or Social Services setting is essential.
